Anthony Dillon, a self described part-time aboriginal academic, has the most reasonable and rational perspective on the plight of aborigines in this country.
His comments on Bill Leak’s creation in The Australian depicting the real problem within the aboriginal community are like a drink of cool water on a heated discussion. Dillon gets it said for common sense, for white and black Australians. If only Dillon had a greater national presence on this topic, we would all be better informed, educated and understanding of not just the plight of aboriginal dysfunction in this country but the’offence’ taking class that undermine positive efforts to overcome aboriginal disadvantage and want to stifle fair debate.
Look up Anthony Dillon’s blog, Black Steam Train for more objective and rational commentary on aboriginal issues.
