Munich Massacre Deemed Classic Shooting Rampage and Not Terrorism

Police have described Friday’s Munich massacre a “classic shooting rampage’ and not terrorism.

A video purporting to show the shooter, dressed in black, firing 20 shots has been posted on Twitter

Despite some reports (unknown at moment) that the young man shouted “Allahu Akbar” during the massacre, Munich police have found evidence from his bedroom that he styled him self along the lines of Anders Breivik the Norwegian massacrist exactly five years ago and Tim Kretschmer who killed 15 people in Germany in 2009.

UPDATE – Reports of Allahu Akbar reported by witness

A witness named Loretta said she heard the shooting when coming out from the restrooms and also reported that he yelled “Allahu Akbar” as he was shooting. Police are saying that they cannot say whether it is an Islamic inspired terrorist attack or whether it was a mass murder. The difference will depend on the motive of the killer which is yet to be determined.

The 18 yo Iranian born killer had dual Iranian/German nationality and had lived in Germany for several years. Apparently picked on at school for some seven years, when German commandos raided his home, they found much material of mass murderers rather than Islamic State literature.

While too early to conclude, it would appear at this early stage that motive may be bullying revenge, depression and failure of school exams for a second time while modelling his killing spree on European mass murderer like Breivek and Kretschmer rather than Islamic extremism.

UPDATE – IS supporters celebrating despite no claim of responsibility

Interesting to note that IS supporters celebrate this atrocity while not claiming any responsibility for the murderous actions.

This is interesting as it confirms the immoral cheering by an ungodly bunch of evil people who would think it appropriate to cheer young people being murdered at McDonalds for no reason. It is also interesting that IS are not claiming anything and everything that could fit their narrative as inspired by them as some would want to suggest. Waleed Aly for example;

“They take credit for any act of terrorism on Western soil, so they appear bigger and tougher than they actually are,” said Mr Aly

This disproves Waleed Aly’s assertion. What we could take from this is that when they do take credit for an act of terrorism like Charlie Hebdo, Paris & Nice, then while they may not have actually trained and sent the attackers personally, they could have trained remotely and definitely inspired such attackers and can therefore legitimately claim that the terrorist is one of their own.
